NAPPANEE - Betty Jean Rouch, 74, of 29605 CR 46, Nappanee, died at 3 p.m. Feb. 5, 2008, in her residence, after a long illness.
She was born Aug. 17, 1933, in St. Joseph County, to Herbert and Ruth Hunsberger Pittman. On April 13, 1952, she married Lavere Rouch, who survives.
A lifetime area resident, she was a Madison Township High School graduate. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Exchange State Bank and Key Bank, Wakarusa. She attended Nappanee Missionary Church and was a member of Better Homes and Garden Club.
Also surviving are a daughter, Gloria (and spouse Ed) Moser, Nappanee; two sons, John (and spouse Wanda) Rouch, Watkinsville, Ga., and David (and spouse Gretchen) Rouch, Ada, Ohio; nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Janet (and spouse Dave) Buck, Nappanee; and two brothers, Roger (and spouse Rachel) Pittman, Nappanee, and Larry (and spouse Nancy) Pittman, Osseo, Wis.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Nappanee Missionary Church with Pastor Dave Engbrecht officiating, assisted by Pastor Marvin Engbrecht. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery, Nappanee.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
