Betty B. Coldren, 89, Brooksville, Fla., died July 14, 2016, just after midnight in her home. She was born April 2, 1927, in Fulton, to Walter and Zella Carter Cook. On Jan. 1, 1994, in North Manchester, she married Keith Coldren, who preceded her in death March 1, 2002. She was a long-time resident of Warsaw, moving to Florida in 2011 with her daughter, Linda. She was a graduate of Fulton High School. She was a cook for Kosciusko Community Hospital and a number of area nursing facilities. She was a member of America Legion Auxiliary and Ladies of the Moose Lodge, both in North Manchester. She liked to garden, especially in her immaculate flower gardens. She enjoyed crocheting and loved her cats. Most of all, she was a caring mother who loved her children and grandchildren deeply. Surviving are a son, Jerry (and spouse Tina) Ervin, Milford; a daughter, Linda Hampton (and spouse Dallas Campbell), Brooksville; three brothers: James (and spouse Dot) Cook, Kimmel; Howard (and spouse Carolyn) Cook, Rochester; George Cook, New Haven; four sisters: Barbara Hudson, Claypool; Anette Georg, O’Fallon, Mo.; Ann (and spouse Roscoe) Goings, South Whitley; Jane (and spouse Gary) Champ, Fulton; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, O. Arthur and AJ Cook; and two sisters, Estella Eads and Phyllis Rautenkranz. Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Ralph Johnson, grandson-in-law, officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
