Bette L. Cowen, 83, of Warsaw, died at 1:17 a.m. Oct. 23, 2007, in Hendricks Regional Health, Danville.
She was born Aug. 7, 1924, in Marshall County, to Floyd Hilton and Alta Elizabeth Fanning Moriarty. On Aug. 5, 1945, she married Lloyd L. Cowen, who died May 14, 2003.
She was a medical receptionist for Dr. Richard Carman, Warsaw, retiring in 1988. She moved from Marshall County to Warsaw 36 years ago. She was a member of North Winona Church of the Brethren and the Ladies Aid of the church
Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Ron (Andrea) Miller, Plainfield, and Teresa Shue, Oswego; a son, Kevin Cowen, Warsaw; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, William J. Moriarty, Atwood. She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Cowen.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Argos.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
