COLUMBIA CITY - Bessie Lea Mock, 99, formerly of Winona Lake and North Webster, died at noon Nov. 1, 2007, at Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse.
She was born March, 17, 1908, in rural Kentucky, to George W. and Laura Kenard Burgett. In 1928, she married Walter Dishman, who died in 1933. In 1945, she married John E. Mock, who died in 1947.
She retired from Flexous Co., Winona Lake, in 1972. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Warsaw.
Surviving are a daughter, Delores Vanator, North Webster; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City, with Pastor Penny Mosher officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery.
Calling is 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
