Bertie Lou Flenar, 78, of Warsaw, died at 2 a.m. March 13, 2007, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

She was born July 24, 1928, in Claypool, to Wayne and Alta Tucker Zolman. On July 4, 1947, in Silver Lake, she married Dale Flenar, who survives.

A lifetime Claypool and Warsaw areas resident, she was an etcher for Zimmer Inc., retiring in 1989, and a member of Freewill Baptist Church, Claypool.

Also surviving are three sons, Don (and wife Leigh Ann) Flenar, Milford, and Mike (and wife Deborah) Flenar and Steve (and wife Lea Ann) Flenar, both of Warsaw; a sister, Judy Higginbotham, Fort Wayne; a brother, Ted Zolman, Warsaw; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Rex and Gene Zolman; a sister, Charlene Snyder; and a grandson, Aaron Flenar.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
