Bert Sterk, 79, Akron, died at home with his family at his side after a brief illness on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025.
Bert was born in Chicago, Ill., to Cornelius and Winnie Kelderhouse Sterk. He married Theressa Wildermuth on Aug. 25, 1968; she survives.
A memorial service, to celebrate Bert’s life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, in the Akron Church of God, 301 S. West St., Akron, with Pastors Mandy Nellans and Kathy Nelson officiating. A time of fellowship will continue after the service.
Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, in the Akron Church of God.
