BBBS Welcomes New Board Leadership, Including Mike Wever As Board President

FORT WAYNE – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana welcomed Mike Wever as the new board president for the 2026-27 term, along with new board officers.
New board officers includes:
• Board President Mike Wever, Barnes & Thornburg
• Vice President Ross Hensley, Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana (PHP)
• Vice President Martin Huttenlocker, Logan Properties
• Secretary and Board Governance Chair Denise Mills, retired
• Treasurer Brian Miller, STAR Financial Bank
Each has previously served on the board, lending their expertise to guide BBBS towards serving youth across Northeast Indiana. Mills and Miller are both serving a second term in their respective roles.
“Big Brothers Big Sisters has a long history of innovative, effective leadership on the board,” said BBBS CEO Josette Rider. “We are excited to welcome these individuals into their new roles and work together towards a brighter future for youth in our communities.”
The Northeast Indiana chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters has a nationally recognized board, earning a 2025 Board of the Year title at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America national conference.
