On April 13, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputy Joel Popenfoose responded to a battery in progress at 203 N. Monroe St., Sidney. The victim had a large swollen bump on her left eye and complained of pain to the left side of her face.
She said she was in the front yard with Poe, Foreman and another person, only identified as “AA” in court documents. Foreman pushed AA and the victim got between them. Foreman became upset with the victim and punched her. Poe then came over and knocked the victim to the ground, got on top of her and began punching her in the face. Foreman was punching and kicking the victim at the same time.
AA told Popenfoose that Foreman began to yell at her, hit her and pushed her down. The victim came over to break up the fight, and Foreman began to hit the victim and knocked her down to the ground. AA told the same story of the fight as the victim.
Popenfoose spoke with a neighbor who said he heard fighting outside at 203 N. Monroe St. and he saw Poe on top of the victim, punching her in the face.
