Bash Republicans, Too

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

What is really unfair about politics is the way Republican newspapers blast the Democrats in the presidential race, not naming anybody of course!

Making fun of them in cartoons, writing columns about their big and little blunders as if they were very, very serious.

You never see anything derogatory about Republican candidates in the Times-Union. What I read in Ann Coulter and Michael Reagan's as well as Cal Thomas' column is cruel baloney, to catch the eye of the unwary voter. And is a type of almost libel proportions and would be in an open letter from one person to another.

Hillary and Bill Clinton hit Senator Obama with a lot of low blows and brought out the frustration that caused him to retaliate in kind, a mistake that caused him a lot of women's votes.

Senator Obama is not the man Bill and Hillary made. That's just temporary, he will settle down in office and make us the best president in years.

We want a young, fresh, intelligent team in there to represent us. Obama and John Edwards is what we want and need. McCain is ok, but he's a little too old.

Editor's Note: I would suggest the letter writer read columns by Richard Reeves, Ellen Goodman, Marie Cocco, Paul Campos, Clarence Page or Cynthia Tucker which regularly appear on our Op-Ed pages. They all have plenty of deragatory things to say about Republicans.
