INDIANAPOLIS – Barbara Martin Minear passed away Jan. 29, 2016, in hospice care. Born Aug. 13, 1927, to Daro and Edith Holderman Martin, she lived in Warsaw all of her life, then moved to Indianapolis in December 2013. She was married to Bernard T. Minear, who preceded her in death. She had been a member of Warsaw Reading Club, the Indiana Appaloosa Association, The First Presbyterian Church of Warsaw, and Zeta Tau Alpha at Indiana University. She owned Minear's Antiques with her husband. Then, beginning in 1984, she researched, created and sold custom Old World Santas, exhibiting in juried art shows in the Midwest. In addition, the family showed Appaloosa horses for over 20 years. She is survived by her children, Sheri Minear Patterson and family, Daniel T. Minear; a grandson, Matthew T. (and spouse Jenny) Minear; and great-grandson, Logan Minear. She also was preceded in death by parents and a sister, Eileen Martin Stevens. Services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Oakely Hammond Funeral Home, Irvington.
