Barbara Ann Rogers, 58, of Warsaw, died at 6:25 p.m. March 9, 2009, in Mason Health and Rehab, Warsaw.
She was born March 26, 1950, in Warsaw, to Lester and Mary Elizabeth Winger Young. On Aug. 15, 1971, in Warsaw, she married Donald L. Rogers, who survives.
A lifetime Warsaw resident, she was a second-grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary, Warsaw, for 39 years. She was president of Tipkie Reading Association of Indiana; a member of American Association of University Women and of a scrapbooking club; and was secretary for North Winona Church of the Brethren for several years. She was a graduate of Warsaw High School in 1968, and Manchester College in 1972.
Also surviving are a son, Brian (and spouse Amie) Lee Rogers, Warsaw; a daughter, Michele Lynn (and spouse Michael) Psalidas, South Bend; her mother, Mary Elizabeth Young, North Manchester; a sister, Donna Marie (and spouse Ed) Sorensen, Warsaw; and four grandchildren, Alan and Brycelyn Psalidas and Autumn and Lillie Rogers. She was preceded in death by her father, the Rev. Lester Young, who died July 30, 2003.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at North Winona Church of the Brethren, Warsaw, with Pastor Michael Smith of the church officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
