This August, Banner Medical marks 10 years since the grand opening of its Warsaw facility, celebrating a decade of service to the region’s medical manufacturing community and the broader medical device supply chain.
Banner Medical officially opened in August 2016 at 1295 Polk Drive, following its first shipment earlier that summer. Since then, the facility has grown into a trusted local resource for medical grade materials, precision processing and value-added services for manufacturers serving orthopedic, spine, dental, ambulatory care and patient handling markets, according to a news release from Banner Medical.
Located in one of the world’s most recognized centers for orthopedic and medical device manufacturing, Banner Medical was established to bring specialized material processing closer to regional and local customers. The 43,000-square-foot production facility supports customers with capabilities that include centerless grinding, straightening, chamfering, line marking, saw cutting, water jet cutting, near-net processing and in-house ultrasonic testing.
“Ten years ago, Banner Medical, Warsaw, was established to bring specialized medical material processing closer to one of the world’s most important medical device manufacturing communities,” Dan Stoettner, CEO of A. M. Castle & Co., said. “Today, the facility reflects the strength of our people, the trust of our customers, and our continued commitment to supporting manufacturers who produce life-enhancing medical products. We look forward to being a part of this community for many years to come.”
As an ISO 13485 certified supplier to the medical device industry, Banner Medical maintains quality systems designed to meet the stringent requirements of medical manufacturing, the release states. The company provides medical grade materials and services intended to support the production of implants, instruments and components used across the medical device industry.
Over the last 10 years, the Warsaw facility has become part of the local manufacturing landscape, supporting customers across the medical supply chain while contributing to the area’s reputation for precision manufacturing and medical device innovation.
Banner Medical extends its thanks to the employees, customers, suppliers, and community partners who have contributed to the Warsaw facility’s first decade. The company looks forward to continuing its work in Warsaw and supporting the manufacturers who help bring reliable, life-enhancing medical products to market.
