Beware of a local "builder," calling himself a Christian. We are a group of hard-working, law-abiding citizens who have been scammed (along with many others) by a local "builder." This man placed an ad in this newspaper for a 30-year roof at a low price. After he "lures you in," he is very quick to come into your home, draw up the contract and get your down payment. Your check is quickly cashed and then the games begin. Phone calls are not returned, and the work in many cases is never even started. Your down payment is simply stolen, never to be seen again. In some cases, the work is started, but not finished. In other cases, the work has to be corrected by a reputable contractor. You can call and call, but good luck getting a response. Occasionally, he'll have someone associated with himself return a call saying that he is in the hospital or his cell phone service is not working. Several days ago, he claimed bankruptcy. Not a bad deal, steal as much as you can from as many people as you can - then you simply go bankrupt! His actions have hurt many people and probably given a bad name to some of the honest roofers out there. It's high time something is done about this bad man so no one else falls victim to his scams. He needs to be taken off the streets, put into jail and do hard labor to pay back all the people he has scammed. If you have been taken by this crook, please come forward.
