AWL Hosting Birthday Bash Aug. 2

PIERCETON - The Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County is hosting its third annual Birthday Bash celebration at their shelter campus Aug. 2.
“We have an afternoon of family fun to help us celebrate ‘Dogust,’ the universal birthday for shelter and rescue dogs,” said AWL Adoption Tech Niki Sedlacek. “Our kittens and cats help us celebrate, too!”
The celebration will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2 at 1048 S. 325 E., Pierceton, across U.S. 30 from TSC.
“This is a family-friendly event with birthday cake, ice cream, face painting, bake sale, craft vendors and lots of shelter pets to love on,” said Sedlacek. “Adoption fees are drastically reduced because our shelter is full, and we need to make room for pets to come into our care.”
