August Frank Van Laeken, 82, of Warsaw, died Jan. 14, 2008, in his residence.
He was born June 13, 1925, in Puurs, Belgium, to Frans and Ferdinanda De Smedt Van Laeken. On Sept. 28, 1948, in Belgium, he married Magdalena Anna Algoet, who died Dec. 11, 2005.
Moving to Warsaw from Mount Clemens, Mich., in 1996, he was self-employed and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw.
Surviving are two sons, Don (and spouse Janet) Van Laeken, Clayton, Calif., and John (and spouse Cindy) Van Laeken, Warsaw; four grandchildren: Nicole Indart, Danville, Calif.; Eric Van Laeken, Oakland, Calif.; Justin Van Laeken, Whitefish Bay, Wis.; and Michael Van Laeken, Kimmel; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne Devos.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Father Paul Bueter officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
