FORT MYERS, Fla. – Arthur DeMerl Snider, 79, of Fort Myers, Fla., died Jan. 9, 2012, in Hope Hospice, Cape Coral, Fla.
He was born July 19, 1932, in Nappanee, to Vern and Cora George Snider. He married Elizabeth Baney, who survives.
He graduated from Atwood High School in 1950.
Besides being an avid golfer for 40 years, in later years he enjoyed shuffleboard.
Also surviving are two sons, Mark Alan, North Carolina, and Gail Brian, Lehigh Acres, Fla.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don and George; and a sister, Enid Snider Anglin.
A memorial service will be at at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hodges Funeral Home, Lee Memorial Park, 12777 Ind. 82, Fort Myers.
