Annual Right To Life Banquet Scheduled For Sept. 21

Posted

Right to Life of North Central Indiana’s 30th annual Legacy of Life Banquet is scheduled for Sept. 21 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capitol Center on the campus of Grace College & Seminary, Winona Lake.
The keynote speaker will be George Dennehy. Born without arms, he plays music from his heart using his feet, according to a provided news release.
Dennehy believes every individual has a purpose and that absolutely anything is possible. His life story includes his early struggle against death in a grim Romanian orphanage and the dire circumstances that led to an urgent plea for a family to adopt him. That adoption happened when he was 18 months old. Today he has 12 siblings - nine of his brothers and sisters are also adopted, and they represent six different countries, according to the release.
His testimony of a victorious, overcoming life has inspired thousands of people all over the world, the release states. Dennehy has been on television and radio, performed and spoken at hundreds of live events, and shared the stage with national acts such as Jeremy Camp, Audio Adrenaline, Hillsong United, Colton Dixon, Toby Mac, Jamie Grace, For King & Country and MercyMe.
The emcee for the evening will be Phil Kuhn, who is a local realtor and lifelong resident of Kosciusko County. He is married to Melissa, and together they have four daughters, one of whom is adopted, and they have plans to adopt again soon.
The Kuhns are the founders of Legacy of Blessings Adoption Foundation, a local nonprofit that provides emotional, spiritual and financial support to families adopting in Kosciusko County.
Kuhn is an advocate for choosing life, with a deep love for children and a special heart for vulnerable children, something that is reflected in both his family life and his work supporting adoptive families.
Executive Director Dave Koontz stated, “The banquet is a great opportunity for hundreds of pro-lifers to gather and celebrate the pro-life accomplishments in North Central Indiana as well as raise the funds that will be used throughout the year to promote the dignity and value of all human life.”
