HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – Annette H. Symons, 80, Alachua, Fla., passed away Nov. 4, 2015, at Park Meadows Health & Rehabilitation, Gainesville, Fla. She was born July 11, 1935, in Oklahoma, to Anna and Alex Weber. In 1956, she was united in marriage to James Albert Symons, who preceded her in death after 52 years together. She was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church, where she was baptized several years ago. She managed theaters with her husband in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Miami, Fla., along with being a licensed beautician. She worked as a dispatcher for the Alachua Police Department, where she retired from. Surviving are two bothers, Eugene A. and Lynn Weber; several nieces and nephews in the surrounding Warsaw area; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Symons Flora, Elkhart; two granddaughters, Shari and Melissa; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy; and six sisters: Viola, Virginia, Evelyn, Delores, June and Pearl. Private family services will be today at Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Evans Carter Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., High Springs, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
