Anna Belle Smith Richard, 84, of 206 W. Tulip St., Pierceton, died at 6:40 p.m. Feb. 14, 2012.

She was born July 14, 1927, in Lakeville, to William and Pearl Sousley Smith. On Feb. 9, 1945, in Lakeville, she married Dale Richard, who died April 20, 2000.

A resident of Kosciusko County    for the past 49 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, Warsaw. She recently attended Pierceton United Methodist Church and was a member of River City Gospel Choir, South Whitley.

Surviving are four sons: Ronald (and spouse Sara) Richard, Rising Sun; James (and spouse Carolyn) Richard and Jerry (and spouse Sheryl) Richard, all of Bloomington; and Hal Richard, Winona Lake; two daughters, Gale (and spouse Dennis) Shireman, Delaware, Ohio, and Dianna (and spouse Michael) Sellers,   Pierceton; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Arlene Cohee, Lakeville. She also was preceded in death by a daughter and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, Warsaw, with Pastor Steve Ailes officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
