BOURBON – Anita P. Soriano, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at 1:10 p.m. at her home, with her family at her side.
Anita was born the daughter of Pio and Cresencia Marzan Partible on Aug. 30, 1958, in the Philippines. She had been a longtime resident of the area. On May 15, 1987, she married the love of her life, Alfredo Soriano, who preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2008.
She worked for several years as a dietary aide at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw. She attended The Country Church in Bourbon. During her free time, she enjoyed cooking, baskets, gardening, crocheting, taking pictures and dancing. The most important part of her life was her family, including her children and grandchildren.
Those who will miss Anita are her daughter, Anilyn (Jeffrey) Sneed, of Tippecanoe; sons, Kyle (Lily) Soriano, of Warsaw; and Jonas Soriano, of Chicago; grandchildren, Gracelynn and Edward; along with sisters, Aida, Dima and Daniella; and brothers, Rodelio and Ramon.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Cardo.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday, Feb. 13 at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, from 10 a.m. until noon. Funeral services will follow at noon, with Pastor Aaron Talbert officiating. Burial will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bourbon. In accordance with current COVID-19 regulations, mask wearing and social distancing will be required.
