AKRON – Andrew E. Beck, 41, Talma, and formerly of North Manchester, unexpectedly passed at 10:25 a.m. Feb. 13, 2015, at his residence. He was born April 30, 1973, in Independence, Mo., to Roger E. Guthrie and Annette Kester. He had been a veal calf feeder for Strauss Veal of North Manchester. He had attended high school in North Manchester. He loved watching the Cleveland Browns in the NFL, and Mark Martin was his family’s driver in NASCAR. He enjoyed fishing on Sechrist Lake, and his children were the love of his life. Surviving are his companion of 10 years, Tonia Smith, who survives in Talma; his mother, Annette (and her spouse Dennis) Ayres, North Manchester; two sons, Wade Beck, South Whitley, and Noah Beck, North Manchester; two daughters, Shanna Lynn Leonhardt, Indianapolis, and Gracie Beck, Rochester; grandmothers, Grace Kester and Cleo Hippensteel, both of North Manchester; three stepsons: Deontee, Steven and Braydyn Poe, all of Rochester; two sisters, Abbie Isbell, North Manchester, and Lisa (and spouse Joseph) Rioux, Sylvania, Ohio; two stepbrothers, Ryan Ayres, Dover, Ark., and Andy Ayres, North Manchester; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Chance Beck, who died Feb. 6, 2015; grandparents; and his father, Roger Guthrie. Services will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Brethren Church, 407 N. Sycamore St., North Manchester, with the Revs. Kurt Stout and Susan Keirn-Kester officiating. Calling is from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
