NAPPANEE - Amalia R. Lugo, 87, of 300 N. Washington St., Wakarusa, died at 3:55 a.m. May 21, 2007, in Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
She was born Sept. 22, 1919, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Blas and Macaria Enriquez Rodriguez. She married Jesus Lugo, who preceded her in death.
She worked at Lamplight, Pierceton, and Pierceton Elementary School.
Surviving are two daughters, including Mrs. Dennis (Gloria) Stouder, Nappanee; a son; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister; and two brothers. She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and four sisters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Francis Catholic Church, Pierceton, with Father Bruce Piechocki officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Catholic Church Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
