NAPPANEE - Allen E. McDonald, 83, of 2246 W. CR 1350N, Milford, died at 12:25 p.m. Nov. 19, 2007, in Goshen General Hospital. He was born May 19, 1924, in Nappanee, to Ford and Goldie Danner McDonald. He married Dorothy Roberts, who survives.
A lifetime Nappanee area resident, he was a 1942 New Paris High School graduate and attended Tri-State University. He was owner of Mac's Plumbing and Heating, Nappanee. He was a member of Bethany Church of the Brethren and a 50-year member of Nappanee Masonic Lodge.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sandy Toney, Nappanee; two sons, Russ (and spouse Sue) McDonald, Nappanee, and Mike (and spouse Barb) McDonald, Noblesville; two stepsons, Rick McDonald, Dallas, Texas, and Mark McDonald, Atlanta, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with the Rev. Tim Morphew officiating. There will be cremation.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 4 p.m.
