Allen E. Hepler

SOUTH BEND – Allen E. Hepler, 82, of South Bend, died Feb.15, 2013, in his residence.
He was born April 5, 1930, in Nappanee, to Fred and Mary Louise  Mays Hepler. On Aug. 14, 1965, in South Bend, he married Marjorie Gill Sellers, who survives.
He served as a U.S. Marine before graduating from Findlay Collete. He retired a cost analyst from EWI Inc. in 1993 after 14 years of service. He loved coaching Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball.
Also surviving are his children: Susan (and spouse Thomas) Fuller and Thomas (and spouse Kathleen) Sellers, all of Granger; Marcia (and spouse James) Smith, Oshkosh, Wis.; and Michael (and spouse Taryn) Hepler,   Warsaw; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sisters, Ruth (and spouse Merlin) Yoder and Donnabelle (and spouse Edward) Monhaut, all of Nappanee; and brothers: Eldon Hepler, Jacksonville, Fla.; Richard (and spouse Marlene) Hepler, Apache Junction, Ariz.; and Pastor Russell (and spouse Ardala) Hepler, LaGrange. He was preceded in death by sister and two brothers.
Services were at 11 a.m. today at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, South Bend, with Pastor Russell Hepler officiating. Committal services and burial with military honors will be in Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
