Well, well, Tom Metzger is at it again! Politics this time. In his Feb. 12 letter he can't find anything bad to say about the next President of the United States, so he's going back 45 years to find something that might be bad about his daddy - ho hum!
I'm talking about Senator Obama of Illinois - a young, honest square shooter that's been drawing huge crowds wherever he goes. Because he is saying things that people like hearing.
About the worse thing the Republicans (Tom and this newspaper) can come up with so far is his inexperience as a candidate - Demo that is.
Well, Nixon, Clinton and Mr. Bush had lots of experience and they didn't do a whole lot for the country!
State Senator Obama - six years - U.S. Senator two years - at 40! Not bad!
I have voted or supported candidates for 60 years and I really like what the Demos are coming up with - not Hillary - no, no!
Make it a point to listen to Senator Obama's speeches. Read his books - and let's quit digging up dirt on candidates unless it's really important, OK?
