Alice S. Twait

SYRACUSE – Alice S. Twait, 74, of Syracuse, died at 12:15 p.m. Dec. 28, 2012, at I.U. Goshen Hospital. She was born May 13, 1938, in Lansing, Mich., to Frank and Verbena Groenveld Oostra. She attended Lansing High School. She moved to the Syracuse area from Lansing in 1967 and spent the past four years in Bonita Springs, Fla. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Syracuse. Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Goon, Leesburg; a son, Jim Twait, Syracuse; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her lifetime companion, Ron Rosser, Syracuse; a sister, Fran Baker, Crown Point; and two brothers, Pete (and spouse Elaine) Oostra, Munster, and Robert (and spouse Kathy) Oostra, Kalistell, Mont. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, with Pastor David Herr officiating.
