NORTH MANCHESTER – Alice Madelin Mowan, 90, of Fort Wayne, died at 11:50 p.m. Sept. 2, 2012, in New Haven Care & Rehab.
She was born Oct. 30, 1921, in Sidney, to Russell Sr. and Mabel Glaze Frantz.
She was a bookkeeper at Central Dairy and retired from Wayne Co-op after 23 years. She worked at Caruso’s Italian and American Restaurant, Angola, for 10 years. In 1990 she moved to Fort Wayne and worked at Family and Friends Café at Times Corners for 10 years. She was a member of Colony Heights Church of Christ. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1940.
Surviving are two sons, Robert (and spouse Susie) Mowan, Knoxville, Tenn., and Lewis (and spouse Debbie) Mowan, Boise, Idaho; a brother, Russell (and spouse Doris) Frantz Jr., Warsaw; two sisters, Pat (and spouse Elmer) Matthews, Fort Wayne, and Sandra (and spouse Marvin) Metzger, Roann; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor Ron Walter officiating. Burial will be in Ulrey Memorial Cemetery, Kosciusko County.
