An alcohol license renewal for a North Webster restaurant with a violation was tabled Thursday to the October meeting of the Kosciusko Alcohol Tobacco Commission after a representative for the business failed to appear.
Lagos Steakhouse LLC, doing business as Jimmy’s Restaurant, 104 W. Himes St., North Webster, was on the commission’s meeting agenda Thursday for the renewal of their beer, wine and liquor 210-1 restaurant license.
At the Aug. 7 commission meeting, the license for Jimmy’s Restaurant was approved but Excise officer April Tackett told them there was an alert on it because the business had a violation in June 2024. She had thought they heard the violation last year, but wasn’t sure. If the permit went down to the state and came back to be reheard by the local board, it would be due to that violation. The local commission is only a recommending body to the state board, which has final approval on alcohol licenses.
The license for Jimmy’s was back on the local commission’s agenda Thursday because of that violation. Tackett said a representative of Jimmy’s Restaurant needed to appear before the commission Thursday.
“With the violation, they should have appeared. So we can continue that until our next meeting,” she said.
A hearing notice was mailed to the owners in August, Tackett said. She said she would now have to send them a “no show” letter to let them know Thursday was the second time they didn’t show for their hearing. If the representatives fail to show a third time, the commission can hear it and vote on it without them being present.
After waiting almost 10 minutes, and no representatives of Jimmy’s Restaurant appearing, the license renewal was tabled and the meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting is 1 p.m. Oct. 2 in the old courtroom of the Kosciusko County Courthouse.

• Full Service Dining Inc., dba Uptown Kitchen, location pending, Warsaw, beer, wine and liquor restaurant (210-1) license. The license is in escrow while a location is being sought.
• Nelp LLC, dba Milford Party Pack, 314 N. Higbee St., Milford, beer, wine and liquor package store license.
• Oakwood Resort LLC, dba Oakwood Resort, 702 E. Lakeview Road, Syracuse, beer, wine and liquor hotel license.
• Sylver Moon Inc., dba Louie’s Bar and Grill, 209 E. Bowser Road, Syracuse, beer, wine and liquor (210-1) restaurant license.
• Tap Root Brewhouse & Company LLC, 130 N. First St., Pierceton, beer, wine and liquor (210-1) restaurant license.
• Yoder Family Investments LLC, dba Wawasee Bowling Lanes, 1201 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, beer, wine and liquor (210) restaurant license.
