Alberta L. Cox, 85, of 2885 N. Lakeview Drive, Warsaw, died at 6:45 p.m. March 30, 2010, in Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse.
She was born June 11, 1924, in Kosciusko County, to Emry and Violet Barth Murphy. On Dec. 7, 1946, she married Robert L. Cox, who died April 8, 1989.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Tabor Church of God, Etna Green. She was a member of the Atwood Fire Dept. Auxiliary and the Ruth Circle.
Surviving are two sons, Randy Cox, Syracuse, and Robert Cox, Wichita, Kan.; a daughter, Pam (and spouse James) Roberts, Pierceton; a sister, Lenora Stump, Warsaw; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a sister and a grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Stan Owen officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
