Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
Storyteller Sharon Dillman launched the celebration of the nation’s birthday Monday at the Akron Carnegie Public Library, bringing the history of the first American flag to life with her presentation, "Betsy Ross, Storyteller." The commemorative events, organized for America’s 250th anniversary, continue this week with a special "Revolutionary Reading." Fulton County native Cindy Price will perform a patriotic presentation from the perspective of Martha Washington on Thursday, June 25 at 6 p.m. in the library's meeting room. Additionally, “America Is” by Louise Borden will be featured in the StoryWalk for July. This book celebrates America’s 250th anniversary and will remain on display for the rest of the month.
