A Warsaw man is accused of dealing drugs after a traffic stop led to a search of his vehicle.

Bradford Wayne Scarbro, 32, of 944 E. Garfield St., Warsaw, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 7:36 p.m. Aug. 19 and faces a Level 2 felony dealing in methamphetamine charge; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony; possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony; and driving while suspended, a Class A misdemeanor.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed Wednesday in Kosciusko Circuit Court, on Aug. 19 Warsaw police pulled over a vehicle driving south on Detroit Street near Anchorage Road for being improperly registered.

During the traffic stop, according to court papers, Scarbro told police he did not have a driver’s license. A female passenger in the vehicle told police she had just purchased the car and gave police a bill of sale and title work.

According to the police report, Scarbro was visibly shaking and his voice was fluctuating as he attempted to answer the officer’s questions. A K-9 unit was called to the scene and detected drugs in the vehicle, according to the affidavit.

Inside the vehicle, police located a digital scale, methamphetamine, glass smoking devices and homemade smoking devices that tested positive for methamphetamine, heroin, Methadone pills and pre-bagged methamphetamine.

When police spoke with Scarbro about it, according to the affidavit, Scarbro admitted he had just purchased over 3 ounces of methamphetamine that day and had intended to sell an ounce of it that evening to a person for $500 and that he has sold methamphetamine to multiple people in different amounts for different prices.

His bond was set at $25,250.
