Adverse Effect

Editor, Times-Union:

There are some who are in the process of making a decision which will adversely affect hundreds of people in the northern part of Warsaw.

I am a homeowner in Fahl's Addition and use CR 100E nearly every day to doctors, dentist, hospital, shopping and various other places in the community.

I am also a taxpayer. I would like to suggest in agreement with at least two other concerned citizens of this community that if you persist on enlarging the airport runway, consider others who live in the area by building a tunnel under the new proposed expansion and keep all of us happy.

Hardly a day goes by that an ambulance goes south on CR 100E en route to the hospital. Also our sheriff's department use this road quite often with sirens on as they are en route to an emergency.

I have read articles in the paper from those who are proposing the closing of CR 100E. about the people north of the airport of being "inconveniences." I would suggest they move north of the airport see how they would like the inconvenience especially when a train is stopped blocking the crossing on CR 350N. This has happened more than once.

I'm all for the expansion of the runway. Let's not go the cheap way. Let's make a decision to benefit everybody and not a small group of people even if the cost is more.

I also understand according to the newspaper there is to be a meeting in early December concerning this. I would like to suggest that those of us who will be adversely affected by this try to attend that meeting and let our feelings be known. I am a very concerned citizen of Warsaw.
