7-Year-Old Girl Suffers Pelvic Injury After Hit By Vehicle

A 7-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle Wednesday.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the 300 block of North CR 900E at about 6:39 p.m. Wednesday for a vehicle/pedestrian collision, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigating deputies, determined a 7-year-old girl rode a scooter from a residential driveway into the path of a southbound Dodge Journey. The girl was struck by the front driver's side corner of the Journey and was transported to a Fort Wayne Hospital for a pelvic injury.
The news release did not include the girl’s name.
The driver of the vehicle was Lisa Howard, 53, Warsaw.
Responding agencies were Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Pierceton Fire Department and Lutheran EMS.
