5 Injured In Saturday’s 3-Vehicle Collision

Five people were injured during a three-vehicle accident Saturday at the intersection of Winona and Maple avenues, Warsaw.

According to the Warsaw Police Department accident report, Anita J. Kline, 54, Monterey, was traveling north of South Maple Avenue in a 2014 Dodge. After she stopped at the stop sign at the intersection, Kline said began to drive north on South Maple Avenue. She said as she was crossing the intersection, Tadd L. Burch, 34, East Wellington Drive, Warsaw, driving a 2010 Suzuki, hit Kline’s vehicle on the passenger side.

Kline said she did not see Burch driving west on East Winona Avenue, which had the right-of-way, according to the report.

Burch said he was traveling westbound on East Winona Avenue and was approaching the intersection with Maple Avenue when Kline’s vehicle pulled out in front of him.

Burch sad he did not have time to stop.

Jessenia Galvan-Montoya, 20, LaGrange, said she was facing south on South Maple Avenue in a 2016 Bavarian and was stopped at the stop sign located at the intersection of South Maple and East Winona avenues. She said that while they were stopped at the stop sign, Kline’s vehicle continued to travel in the north direction, Burch’s vehicle hit Kline’s vehicle.

After the two vehicles crashed, Kline’s vehicle flipped on its side and crashed into the front of Galvan-Montoya’s vehicle.

Kline had minor bleeding to the elbow/lower arm; and Burch complained of head pain.

Three passengers in Burch’s vehicle suffered injuries.

Sophia Burch, 2, Rattington Circle, Warsaw, had a neck abrasion.

Janet S. Miguel, 27, Rattington Circle, Warsaw, had an abrasion to the shoulder/upper arm.

Roxanne Lopez, 6, West CR 250S, Warsaw, had an abrasion to the hip.

Damage was estimated at $5,000 to $10,000.
