3 Injured In Thursday Morning CrashThree people were injured and a roadway closed during Thursday’s morning commute after a collision at Ind. 14 and South Packerton Road.

According to Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Travis Marsh, deputies responded at 6:20 a.m. to that intersection for a crash involving two cars and a semi.

Two cars – one driven by a 20-year-old Goshen woman who police are not naming pending family notification – and the other – driven by a 62-year-old man from Syracuse, who is also not being named – were traveling west on Ind. 14.

The car the woman was driving began to turn left to travel south on South Packerton Road, turning into the lane of travel of the eastbound semi on Ind. 14.

Mark Roser, 67, of Wabash, was driving the semi and told police he could not avoid the collision, Marsh said. Roser was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The woman was airlifted to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne with severe injuries, Marsh said.

The man in the second car was struck by the first vehicle after the initial collision and suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, according to Marsh.

Ind. 14 in the area was shut down for several hours as first responders worked the scene.

KCSO was assisted by Sidney and Silver Lake fire departments and Parkview EMS.
