2nd Person From Saturday’s Fatal Crash Identified

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office released more information Monday afternoon on Saturday morning’s one-vehicle rollover that killed a Claypool woman.

Pronounced deceased at the scene was Alice M. Dills, 57, Claypool.

Zachary E. Anderson, 21, Claypool, was airlifted and has since been released from the Fort Wayne hospital, the news release states. He had not been identified and his name released until Monday.

The time of call to the accident at CR 750W, north of Ind. 14, in Seward Township, was 6:22 a.m. Saturday, according to the KCSO news release.

According to investigating deputies with the KCSO Fatal Team, a 2004 Cadillac SRX was traveling north on CR 750W before exiting the road and rolling several times. Dills and Anderson were both ejected from the vehicle.

The exact time of the accident is unknown. The crash remains under investigation, including who was actually driving the vehicle, the release states.

Along with the KCSO, responding agencies included Burket Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, Lutheran Air Ambulance and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
