After months of planning by the Warsaw MobilePack steering team, preparations are well underway for the 2026 Warsaw MobilePack, taking place Oct. 5–8 at the Warsaw Community High School TRAC. The theme is “Turning Hunger into Hope.”
Registration for the three community packing sessions opens Aug. 24 at WarsawMobilePack.com. These public sessions will take place:
● Monday, Oct. 5, 6–8 p.m.
● Tuesday, Oct. 6, 6–8 p.m.
● Wednesday, Oct. 7, 6–8 p.m.
This year’s event will feature nine packing sessions and nearly 5,000 volunteers, including approximately 2,500 area students. Volunteers ages 5 and up are welcome. Working in teams of 8–10, volunteers will pack nutritious mannapacks containing vitamins, veggies, rice and soy that will be distributed to starving children around the world, according to a provided news release.
The impact begins before volunteers ever step into the TRAC. Businesses, churches, organizations, families and anonymous donors have provided financial support to purchase the raw ingredients that volunteers will pack during the event.
2026 Hunger IMPACT Sponsors include Orchard Medical, SYM Financial Advisors, Warsaw Community Schools and Zimmer Biomet.
Hunger Conqueror Sponsors include DePuy, Downtown Eatery, Maple Leaf Farms and Warsaw Community Church.
Hunger Champion Sponsors include Digger Specialties Inc., Our House Real Estate, Pay Pro Tec and Wildman Business Group.
Hunger Hero Sponsors include Bill & Kathy Hamman, G & G Hauling, Medtronic, Milestone Construction Company, Miller Cattle Company, Performance Services, Polk Equipment, Jasmine Gabriel-Schlitt Family Dentistry and TL Jackson Construction Inc.
Hunger Advocate Sponsors include Faith First Fellowship Church, Johnson Chiropractic, Julia Moore–Bailey Moore Foundation, Knights of Columbus Council 4511 and Warsaw Orthodontics.
“Every meal packed is a tangible act of hope, and every volunteer becomes part of something much bigger than themselves,” said Megan Stone, Warsaw MobilePack chair. “We are incredibly grateful to the businesses, organizations, families and individuals who have invested in making this event possible. Their generosity allows thousands of volunteers to come together and turn that support into meals for starving children around the world.”
Each volunteer packs approximately $50 worth of food ingredients during a two-hour session. With $106 providing enough food to feed a child for an entire year, the collective impact of thousands of volunteers is tremendous, the release states.
Families, friends, businesses, churches, clubs, sports teams and other community groups are encouraged to begin organizing their teams now. The hands-on experience offers opportunities for a variety of ages and abilities, from seated labeling stations to more active warehouse roles.
The 2026 Warsaw MobilePack will also address hunger close to home through a canned food drive benefiting local food pantries, in partnership with Warsaw Community Schools’ Together We Feed Them All program. Additional details will be announced soon.
