Two men are facing felony charges for allegedly dealing morphine pills together.

Donald Alan Boseker, 57, Churubusco, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 6:52 p.m. Monday for a Level 5 felony dealing in a narcotic drug charge. Boseker was released on his own recognizance March 3 and ordered to appear for an initial hearing Thursday to answer to a Level 2 felony dealing in a narcotic drug charge and a Level 4 felony possession of a narcotic drug charge. Boseker was arrested Monday after new charges stemming from the same incident were filed.

A warrant is out for the arrest of Shawn R. Daniels, 37, Columbia City, for a Level 5 felony dealing in a narcotic drug charge. Daniels was released on his own recognizance March 3 and was also ordered to appear for an initial hearing Thursday to answer to charges of dealing in a narcotic drug, a Level 2 felony; possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 4 felony; and possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony.

According to the probable cause affidavits filed in Kosciusko Circuit Court, on Dec. 3, officers with NET43 conducted a controlled purchase of five morphine pills from Daniels. When Daniels arrived at the drug deal, according to court papers, Boseker was with him. Shortly after the purchase, according to the affidavit, an Indiana State Police trooper conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle Boseker and Daniels were driving. Court papers state that Boseker was in possession of the NET43 funds from the drug deal that were given to Daniels.

During the traffic stop, Boseker allowed police to search the vehicle, where they found 11.56 grams of morphine pills. Upon interviews with Boseker and Daniels, police discovered that the pills belonged to Bosker and that Daniels was helping him sell them. Boseker was allegedly selling the pills for $35 apiece, and if Daniels helped him sell one, Daniels would get $5.

Boseker’s bond was set at $10,250.
