The August First Friday will feature a car, truck and motorcycle show with all proceeds benefitting the Baker Youth Club.

First Friday is 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 2 downtown Warsaw.

The first 125 entrants to the car show, formerly Cruisin’ Hoosiers, will receive a dash plaque. Entry fee is $15, and registration is 4 to 6 p.m. at the cannon on the courthouse square. Judging and a silent auction to benefit BYC is 4 to 7 p.m. Awards will be at 8 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded for the top 25 pre-1990 vehicles, top 25 1991-present vehicles and top 10 motorcycles.

First Friday coordinator Paula Bowman said the Aug. 2 event will have an extended road closure to Market Street. Cars will be allowed to enter the car show from two entrances, South Buffalo and East Center streets.

For more information, contact BYC at 574-267-8771.

The car show won’t be the only activities going on at First Friday.

Bowman said the Crossroads Kids Zone will be back with their inflatable bounce houses and face painting.

Food vendors will be on hand, and the Warsaw Community School Corp. STEM bus will be at the corner of Lake and Center streets.

A disc jockey will be spinning music during the evening.

“It should be a fun old time,” Bowman said.
