1 Injured In CrashOne person was taken to a Warsaw hospital after a Friday morning crash in the 2000 block of North CR 150W, Warsaw.
According to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Brittany Poe, 30, of Warsaw, complained of knee pain after the accident and was transported to a hospital.
Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision at 8:38 a.m. Friday. According to the investigating deputy sheriff, Lloyd Shipman Jr., 21, of North Manchester, was traveling south on CR 150W in a 2012 Caterpillar dump truck. Shipman reported that an axle locked up on the dump truck and he attempted to turn left into a private drive in order to avoid a collision with a vehicle in front of him, the release states.
As Shipman was turning, he entered the path of a northbound 2007 Ford F550, driven by Poe. The front end of the F550 hit the passenger side of the dump truck.
