Grace’s softball team debuted its sparkling-new Coach Phil Dick Field on Saturday, and the Lady Lancers split with rival Bethel in the home opener.

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Grace College baseball team was unable to pick up a win on the road Tuesday, falling to Siena Heights 8-2 and 4-0 in a nonconference doubleheader.

GOSHEN – Grace College’s softball team came up short in a doubleheader on Tuesday at Crossroads League foe Goshen College. The Maple Leafs kept Grace’s offense offbalance at the plate, and the Lady Lancers lost 6-0 and 4-2.

WINONA LAKE – The Grace College baseball team was down to its final strike on Monday, trailing in the series-deciding game against Huntington University.

RICHMOND, Ky. – Grace College’s women’s golf team picked up a lot of hardware over the weekend at the Alice Lloyd Invitational. The Lady Lancers finished second as a team and had four players finish in the top six overall at Battlefield Golf Course.

WINONA LAKE – Five local golfers have committed to continue their careers for Grace College’s women’s team.

HUNTINGTON – Grace College’s softball team split its third straight series, taking 1 of 2 from Huntington University on Friday.

Warsaw Community High School defensive standout John Culbertson announced his intention to continue his education and football careers at Trine University in the fall.

WESTFIELD – The Warsaw Tigers fell behind 4-0 Thursday evening and lost 6-2 to the Indian Creek Braves in high school baseball action at Grand Park in Westfield.

WINONA LAKE – The Grace College baseball team picked up a marquee win, downing Crossroads League rival Huntington University 12-2 on Thursday in the Lancers’ home opener.

WINONA LAKE – Lakeland Christian Academy’s Jake Harmon has signed his letter of intent to continue his education and play basketball at Grace College next year.

The Warsaw Lady Tigers opened their varsity softball season Wednesday evening.

SYRACUSE – Wawasee high schools girls and boys track and field teams hosted and split with West Noble Wednesday evening. The Lady Warriors improved to 2-0 on the season with an 88-35 victory over the Chargers.

Grace’s Sugg Named All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Recently-retired Grace College men’s basketball coach Jim Kessler and senior player Logan Godfrey finished their careers Tuesday in the NAIA All-Star Game.

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Grace College and Spring Arbor University split a pair of one-run softball games Tuesday in Crossroads League action. In the opener, the Cougars (11-9, 4-4 CL) came from behind to win 6-5 in extra innings. But the Lady Lancers (6-15, 2-7 CL) found revenge with a tightly contested 7-6 victory to end the day.
