Robert Eugene “Bob” Olinger, 94, Warsaw, passed away after patiently waiting for God to call him and his wife home at 6:40 p.m. Jan. 2, 2017, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, three weeks after the death of  Betty, his wife of 71 years. He was comforted by his family and friends who remained at his side. He was born on Nov. 19, 1922, to Chester and Ethel Pontius Olinger in Wabash County. On May 5, 1945, he married Betty Alice Krichbaum in Warsaw. She passed away on Dec. 12, 2016. He attended Claypool United Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church, Warsaw. He was a proud NIPSCO employee and retired after 40 years. He then delivered trailers for Franklin Coach Co., Nappanee, for 25 years with his cohort Ted Heaton. He grew up in North Manchester and later moved to Warsaw.  He is survived by his brothers: Clifford, Donald, Ronald and Kenneth Olinger. He was preceded by his parents; a son, David Olinger; a daughter, Lynne Olinger; brothers: Joe, Hirschal, Ruppert, Homer and Loris; and sisters: Delores, Dorothy and Cleo. A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Grace Village Chaplain Bryan Benjamin and Pastor Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. BOURBON – Velma J. Schultz, 99, Warsaw, passed away  at 12:50 a.m. Jan. 3, 2017, in Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.  She was born Nov. 7, 1917, in Tippecanoe, to Ed and Myra Warnaucutt.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed her card club, helping her children and sharing her good humor. She was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School, a member of United Church of Christ and attended First Baptist Church. On Feb. 9, 1985, she joined in marriage to Gordon W. Schultz, who preceded her in death.  She will be greatly missed by her four children: Michael (spouse Gloria) Smith, San Diego, Calif.; Jerry (spouse Madyline) Smith, Texas; Janice Boyce, Nevada; and Joyce Shue, Warsaw. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded by three spouses: William Babcock, Gerald Smith and Gordon Schultz; three sisters: Ruth, Martha and Francis; and a grandson, Jeremiah Kenton Shue. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon. Christopher Grady Frey Jr., 6, Celina, Ohio, passed away Dec. 28, 2016, at the Children’s Medical Center, Dayton.  He was born April 11, 2010, in Fort Wayne, to Jennifer Ann Leslie Frey of Celina and the late Christopher Grady Frey, who died Feb. 24, 2013.  He is survived by his sisters: Amarae Stouder, Syracuse; Adara Frey, Warsaw; Delaney Frey, South Salem; Sierra Frey, Columbus; and Liddia Frey, Celina. He is further survived by maternal grandparents, Roxanne and Henry DeLaCruz, Larwill; and his godparents, J. Bryan and Diane Wirth, South Bend.  He was preceded by his father and his maternal grandfather, Bruce Leslie.  He was a fun-loving kid that played football and loved to fish, play video games, play with his dogs and have campfires. He was a member of Cub Scouts Den 1, Pack 69.   Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, with Father Alfons officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home. NAPPANEE — Frank Junior Hoffer, 89, died at 2:45 a.m. Jan. 3, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, after a short illness.   He was born Nov. 5, 1927, in Nappanee, to Willard and Lucy Tea Hoffer. On Jan. 6, 1951, he married Carole Lee Heckaman in Amboy. She died June 9, 2011.  He will be cremated.  A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Feb. 18 at Dal-Mar Catering Banquet Hall, Nappanee. The Rev. Sally Cecile McKrill, 82, Warsaw, passed away at 12:13 p.m. Jan. 3, 2017, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. On Oct. 5, 1934, she was born in Warsaw to Leas and Lois Shock Bunting.  She was united in marriage to Benjamin L. McKrill on Feb. 15, 1953, in Warsaw.  

Harold Sheaffer Burton, Warsaw, went home to be with the Lord at 3:40 a.m. Jan. 3, 2017, at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw, at the age of 60.

BOURBON — Martha Lois Carl Edmonds, 88, Plymouth, formerly of rural Argos, passed away Dec. 31, 2016, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, with her family at her side.  She was born Nov. 8, 1928, in Tippecanoe, to William G. and Edith Gantz Carl. On Sept. 4, 1949, she joined in marriage to Max Edmonds in Lapel. He passed away Aug. 5, 2015.  She has been a resident of Argo

BOURBON — Mary Ellen Stouder, 77, Tippecanoe, passed away Jan. 1, 2017, at home with her family at her side. She suffered with Alzheimer’s for the past 10 years.  She was born Feb. 25, 1939, in Kokomo, to Fred and Irene Oakley Freeman. She grew up in Pierceton and North Webster and graduated from North Webster High School in 1957. 

MILFORD — Evar D. Troup, 82, Milford, passed away at 10:27 a.m. Dec. 31, 2016,  at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.  He was born May 23, 1934, in Nappanee, and four years later moved to Milford. He was the son of Alton and Dessie Troup. On Oct. 24, 1953, he married Mary Ellen Bray; she survives.

Ron "Big Dog" Alan Long, 51, passed away surrounded by family at 12:26 p.m. Jan. 1, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.  He was born March 16, 1965, in Warsaw, to Charles Long Jr. and Betty Beasley Long. He was the youngest of four siblings.  He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County and a 1984 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. He worked at Merchant Metals, New Paris, and bartended at Warsaw Bowl. 

Loretta McClure, at the age of 95, peacefully passed away at Grace Village Healthcare, Winona Lake, on Jan. 1, 2017. And so, because of her faith in Jesus, her Lord and Savior, she begins this new year in that beautiful place where time shall be no more!

NORTH MANCHESTER — Charles W. Moses, 83, North Manchester, died at 1:39 p.m. Dec.  31, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born July 22, 1933, in Kendallville, to Robert C. and Ruth C. Mahnesmith Moses. On Jan. 17, 1954, he married Carol A. Butterbaugh. She survives. Calling will be Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral at North Manchester United Methodist Church, 306 E. Teresa L. Honeycutt, 61, rural Akron, died at 4:50 a.m. Jan. 1, 2017, at her residence after being in failing health for six months She was born Sept. 25, 1955, in Paintsville, Ky., to Willis Roby and Ellen Arlene Murry Fairchild. On Sept. 23, 1972, in Paintsville, she married Billy R. Honeycutt. He survives.

MILFORD — Kimberly Ruth Conrad, 61, Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly, together with her son, Stephen Thurlow Conrad II, on Dec. 25, 2016, as the result of an automobile accident.  She was born on Jan. 22, 1955, in Joliet, Ill., to Kenneth and Ruth Webster. On June 11, 1977, she married Steve Conrad in Chicago, Ill.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Arts from Ball State Universit

PLYMOUTH — Bonnie Suseland, formerly of Plymouth, died Jan. 1, 2017, in St. Anthony Hospital, Crown Point. Arrangements are pending in Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth.   

MILFORD — Stephen Thurlow Conrad II32, Phoenix, Ariz., passed away unexpectedly, together with his mother, on Dec. 25, 2016, as the result of an automobile accident.  He was born on Oct. 11, 1984, to Stephen and Kimberly Conrad in Elkhart. 

Fred “Butch” Boggs passed away peacefully in the early morning of Jan. 1, 2017, surrounded by family at his home in Warsaw. Butch was born in Warsaw on Feb. 8, 1961, to Ron and Judy Anderson. He graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1979.  He was a career mechanic, small business owner and hall of fame race car driver who loved his family, friends and community dearly.  He was a devout husband of 33 years to Tonya Bays Boggs,  whom he loved to vacation with in the mountains of Tennessee.
