He was born April 29, 1934, in Muskegon, Mich., to Fay Jasper and Mildred Elizabeth Grossenbacher Bathrick. On Dec. 6, 1958, in Mentone, he married Marlene J. Reed. She survives.

SYRACUSE — Lloyd Earl Kammerdiener, 84, Syracuse, passed away at 7:29 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse.  He was born Oct. 3, 1933, in Goshen, to Volney G. and Hazel M. Lewallen Kammerdiener.

Janet E. Morgan, 57, Sarasota, Fla., and Syracuse, passed away at 7:32 a.m. Nov. 20, 2017, in her residence. On April 4, 1960, she was born in Sarasota to J. Alan and Lucy Wolfe Morgan. She was united in marriage on Feb. 17, 2004, in Jamaica, to James Page, who survives.

SYRACUSE — Hazel Richard Vanlaningham, 88, Milford, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at his home.  He was born Nov. 1, 1929, in Marengo, to Charles Norman and Lillian Mae Vance Vanlaningham.  He attended Hardinsburg Schools  and served in the Indiana National Guard. He was married on Jan. 3, 1949, in Delphi, to Florence H. “Helen” Starbuck, who survives. 

NORTH MANCHESTER — Kayla Aleen Slocum, 23, Huntington, died at 8:33 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at her home.  She was born Jan. 7, 1994, in Layton, Utah, to Ricky Avery Ryckman and Heidi Lynn Pauley Burkhart.

NAPPANEE — Vivian Willodean Marvel, 95, Nappanee, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.  She was born May 2, 1922, in North Manchester, to Paul and Letha Simms Huffman. On Aug. 6, 1942, she married Dean R. Marvel in Mississippi. She was born Oct. 11, 1940, in Gary, to Samuel Mocan and Anna Antich Mocan. On July 26, 1986, she was married in Merrillville to Nunzio Pacific. He passed away March 17, 2002.
