Lady Tigers Win Third Straight NLC Crown On Busy Tuesday

Boys Basketball
Bethany Christian at Wawasee

Wawasee was unable to pick up a win at home on Tuesday, falling 60-55 to Bethany Christian at the Hardwood Teepee. The Warriors are now 5-9 this season.
Three Wawasee players finished the game in double figures, led by Maddux Everingham and his 19 points and six rebounds. Collin Ziebarth had 18 points and also pulled down six boards. Nolan Holzwart added eleven points of his own.
The Warriors have a tough game on Friday at home against Northern Lakes Conference opponent Concord.
Manchester at Churubusco
Manchester picked up yet another win on Tuesday night, defeating Churubusco 88-60 on the road in what was another impressive offensive showdown. The Squires improve to 14-2 this winter.
It was a balanced scoring attack for Manchester, as Gavin Betten had 26 points, Ethan Hendrix had 14, while Garrett Sites and Tallon Torpy each scored eleven. Tyler McLain and Gavin Martin both added eight.
The Squires play their next game at Northfield next Thursday.
Girls Basketball
Warsaw at Goshen

Warsaw was finally able to make up a postponed game against Goshen on Tuesday night, and the wait was worth the wait, as the Warsaw girls basketball team claimed their third straight outright Northern Lakes Conference championship with a 59-27 win. Warsaw is now 13-7, 7-0 in the NLC.
It was their 22nd consecutive conference win and the championship was the 18th in school history.
Brooke Zartman lead the way with six more three-pointers and 22 points. Brooke Winchester added 14, Alexis Neely 13 and Joslyn Bricker 10.
Warsaw will host Angola Thursday in their final regular season game.
Manchester at Bluffton
Manchester suffered a loss for the first time in awhile on Tuesday night as the Lady Squires fell 64-47 to Bluffton. Manchester is now 14-7 this season.
Brookelynn Buzzard had another nice game, finishing with 16 points, five rebounds and two assists. Emmas Walker added 15 points and a steal while Hadley West had five points, five boards and four assists.
The Lady Squires will wrap up the regular season on Thursday at home against Tippecanoe Valley.
Lakeland Christian at Whitko
A fantastic season for Whitko continued on Tuesday, as the Lady ‘Cats defeated fellow area team Lakeland Christian 77-33 at home. Whitko improves to 16-3 this season while LCA falls to 9-13.
It was a massive game for Whitko’s Kloe Krieg, who scored 35 points to reach the 1,000 point mark for her career. Jayma Stonebreaker scordd 20 points while Reese Stonebreaker and Adriyanna Phillips both scored eight. The Lady Cougars were led by 16 points from Katie Reimink and 10 points by Dayton Sibert.
Whitko ends the regular season against Wawasee on Thursday while Lakeland Christian takes on Lakewood Park Christian on Friday night.
Triton at Culver Community
Triton picked up a win on Tuesday night, defeating Culver Community 45-28 on the road. The Lady Trojans are now 9-12 on the season, 4-2 in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference.
Addyson Viers led the way with a double-double, finishing with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Jocelynn Faulkner scored seven points while Sierra Hawley and Jenna Bules added four.
Triton wraps up the regular season on Friday against North Judson.
