Wawasee Announces Valedictorian, Salutatorian

SYRACUSE — Valedictorian and salutatorian at Wawasee High School for the class of 2024 have been announced as Senate Shaw and Allison Clark, respectively.

Both will be keynote speakers at the graduation ceremonies at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2 in the Hardwood Teepee, according to a news release.
Senate is the son of Matthew and Lisa Shaw, Syracuse, and plans to attend Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H., where he will major in biological sciences.
Along with being active in cross country where he is team captain; he also participates in swim and track, is student body secretary, on the student council, in DECA and serves as marketing officer, science team captain, participates in Academic Superbowl, is president of the National Honor Society and is a Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy at-large student member. He enjoys backpacking.

Allison is the daughter of Alan and Diana Clark, Syracuse. She plans to attend Purdue University to major in biology.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, girls tennis, book club, math and English Academic Superbowl, Key Club and manager for the boys tennis team.
Seating at the commencement ceremony will be general seating on a first come, first served basis. All general seating will take place in the bleachers. Handicapped seating will be made available for those in need on the floor, according to the release.
