Facts

Editor, Times-Union:
I repeat for the umpteenth time that everyone has a right to their own opinions, but no one has a right to their own made-up facts. I continue to be infuriated and appalled at the number of times letters of the same few promoters of misinformation and falsehoods — not opinions — are published in the Times-Union. There were no fewer than eleven totally false statements, proven false time and time again, in Wednesday’s Letters section. I have turned those statements into true statements.
Biden does not “support Iran more than Israel.” He has not given “aid and comfort to our enemies in Iran, Russia, and China ...”
Trump did not want “to prevent rioting on January 6,” and Nancy Pelosi had absolutely no authority to call up the National Guard for assistance. Trump did but refused to do so.
How disgusting to say that “most females that have abortions choose to give their bodies to men to have their way with them …”
There was no election fraud in Georgia. Republican leaders attested to this.
How repulsive to say that our country “is now a piranha [his wrong word, not mine], a half-assed dictatorship ….. bouncing around the world trying to enforce its opinion on the dependent on us.” [his gobbledy gook, not mine]
Biden did return all documents wrongfully in his possession. Trump fought doing so, lied, hid documents …. and he did not have any right whatsoever to have them in the first place. The Presidential Records Act says so. Read it!
One of the writers said “Joe Biden accuses the Trump people of everything that he does himself.” Uh, talk about getting the truth ass backwards …. If this statement was sent as a text, it would most likely receive a response of LOL.
These were merely a few of the “opinions” rendered. Strangely enough, most of them can often be found in the syndicated guest columns of the Times-Union’s favorite purveyors of misinformation. Say it, print it often, rinse, repeat. Sadly, constant readers of this garbage will blindly accept these published words as truthful, and with a false sense of thinking what they are doing is right, will vote with this thought in mind: What have I got to lose? All I can say is if they vote believing what these extremist faux Republicans tell them, here are some of the things they will lose: the right to vote; Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security; the right to peacefully protest; personal bodily autonomy; the right to create any kind of family you choose; family planning assistance; freedom to read whatever you choose; freedom of the press (Information dispersed only by the leader); religious freedom; the right to love/marry whomever you choose; the right to learn about/discuss all true history; the right to be whoever you determine you are.
Only the truth will keep you free. Open your eyes and ears. Open your mind.
