Beaver Dam Community Church

To Have Lakeside Service

AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Java Jacks in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.

On Sunday, a lakeside service for Beaver Dam Community Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, will be at Beaver Dam Lake Boat Launch at 8 a.m.  If it's raining it will be canceled by 7:30 a.m.  VBS wrap-up service is at the church at 9:30 a.m. with refreshments served from 9 to 9:30 a.m. The youth retreat wrap-up at Yellow Creek Lake will be at 10:45 a.m. with baptisms to follow at the beach.   

On Tuesday, the Beaver Dam Women meeting is at 9 a.m.

On Wednesday, the youth group is at Akron at 6 p.m.



Church Of The Brethren To

Hold Tenderloin, Fish Supper

NORTH WEBSTER – A tenderloin and fish supper will be at North Webster Church of the Brethren, 7281 E. CR 600N, North Webster, Friday, from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

It is drive-through only.

Menu includes a tenderloin sandwich, two pieces of fish, cole slaw, baked beans and pie for $12   or five-piece fish dinner, cole slaw, baked beans and pie for $15.



Sacred Heart To Hold Meal

Back to dining inside. The June community meal will be offered in the gymnasium at Sacred Heart Church, 125 N. Harrison St., Warsaw, on Tuesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. or until food runs out, with the option of coming into the gym to pick up carryout meals.  

The meal this month will feature hot dogs with all the fixins’, fresh vegetables, fruit, chips, along with a selection of brownies and cookies. This month’s dinner is provided and served by the Sacred Herat Youth Ministry and Sacred Heart parishioners.  There is no charge for the meal.  

All in the community are welcome.

Claypool UMC To Hold Sunday School

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church, 302 E. Section St., Claypool, will hold Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and church services at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Devotion  is every Wednesday at 4:45 p.m.

Gospel Hill Food Pantry is open in Silver Lake. Bring paper products.

Father Day celebration is Sunday at the church.

Claypool Days are Friday and Saturday.



Burket Bible To Hold Worship

BURKET – Burket Bible Church, 102 Market St., Burket, welcomes everyone to its services.  Sunday School starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m.  The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is titled "The Essential Father" from Deuteronomy 6:1-9.  There will be a gift to honor each father that is present.  

There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Java Jacks in Mentone.  Breakfast starts at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m. The Burket Bible Women will be meeting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall for a painting project.



Lancet To Present Message

MENTONE – Mentone United Methodist Church, 116 E. Main St., Mentone, invites the public to join them Sunday at 10:15 a.m. for worship service. Pat Lancet will present the message “Praying Forward: No Turning Back.”

Stellar - Shine Jesus’ Light Vacation Bible School 2023 will be held June19-22 from 6 to 8 p.m. for ages 3 (potty-trained) through fifth grade (grade completed). Register at vbspro.events/p/mumcvbs2023.

The church offers an early bird adult Sunday school class at 8:45 a.m. The class is studying the men and women of the Bible. At 10:15 a.m., along with worship service, the church offers Sunday Bible School for children ages 5 through fifth grade and Wee Kids Worship for ages newborn to 4 years old.
