Alicia Swank and Ryan Bauer, both of Fort Wayne, have announced their engagement.

Alicia is the daughter of Gene and Sue Swank, Warsaw. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2006, from Indiana University Bloomington in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in biology and from IU School of Optometry in 2014 with her Doctor of Optometery.

She is an optometrist with Midwest Eye Consultants, Fort Wayne.

Ryan is the son of John and Jeanne Bauer, Portland, Mich. He graduated from Portland High School, earned a B.S. in psychology in 2008 from Michigan State University and a B.S. in aviation science and administration in 2011 from Western Michigan University.

He is airport operations supervisor at Fort Wayne International Airport.

The couple are planning their wedding for Sept. 29, 2018.
