Editor, Times-Union:
When you go to the polls for this primary election, please consider voting for Jack Birch for our Circuit Court judge. I have known Jack since he was admitted to practice law in 1991. At that time, I was a partner with Beckman Lawson, a large firm based in Fort Wayne with an office in Syracuse. We hired Jack as an associate in our Syracuse office. I was his supervising partner, tasked with making sure that he developed into a highly skilled lawyer. Over time, we elevated Jack to partnership in the firm.
In 2002, Jack and I, as well as our associate at the time, Randy Morgan, decide to separate from Beckman Lawson and form a new partnership, Snyder, Birch & Morgan. We maintained our practice in Syracuse. In 2011, Jack decided to try his hand at opening his own practice as a solo practitioner known as Birch Law Firm. Since that time, Jack's practice has grown into Birch Kaufman. All these practices have maintained their office in Syracuse.
For as long as I have both practiced with and litigated cases against Jack Birch, I have recognized him as a highly skilled trial lawyer and advocate for his clients. During the time he practiced with me, he was the sole lawyer in our firm responsible for handling any criminal matter that came to the firm. His primary civil practice includes all types of trial work, both jury trials and bench trials. He handled all manner of business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and zoning matters. I have never hesitated to ask Jack to handle matters for my clients or cover for me in my absence. I have no hesitation in referring clients to him in his current practice.
Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to practice before innumerable judges, both in Kosciusko County and throughout the state and federal courts in Indiana. I know the skills and attributes demonstrated by exceptional judges. Jack Birch possesses the trial skills, analytical legal ability and most importantly temperament to be an exceptional Circuit Court judge for our county. Between the candidates for Circuit Court, Jack Birch is the most qualified to serve as our Circuit Court judge. I hope you will join me in casting your vote for Jack Birch for Kosciusko Circuit Court judge.
