Baseball
Warsaw at Elkhart

Warsaw was on the wrong end of a walkoff win on Saturday morning, falling to Elkhart as the Lions scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to win the game 3-2. The Tigers are now 3-4 this spring.
Grady Nelson had a great game for Warsaw, going 3-3 with a run scored and a run driven in. The other Tiger run was brought home by Austin Polk, who scored Nelson on a sacrifice fly. Hunter Dippon went 1-3 with a double. Brandt Martin struck out seven hitters in six innings of work.
Warsaw will begin Northern Lakes Conference play on Monday against Wawasee.
Tippecanoe Valley at Dick Reese Classic
Tippecanoe Valley was unable to pick up a win while competing at the Dick Reese Classic on Saturday, falling 12-2 to John Glenn and 14-1 to Kankakee Valley. The Vikings are now 2-5 this season.
In the first game of the day against Glenn, Wes Haines went 2-2 with a double while driving in both runs for the Vikings. Isaac Ramsey scored the lone Valley run in game two after reaching on a walk. Cam Manuel and Hunter Paxton added hits.
Tippecanoe Valley is at home against Bremen on Tuesday evening.
Concord at Manchester
Manchester was able to earn a split in a doubleheader against Concord Saturday afternoon, winning the first game 5-1 before falling 14-7 in the second contest. The Squires are now 5-2-1 this season.
Ethan Hendrix went 2-4 with a home run, two runs driven in and and two runs scored in game one, while Evan Martynowicz added two hits and an RBI as well. Harper Sturtsman was dominant on the mound, pitching a complete game while striking out six. Gavin Martin drove in three runs in game two, going 2-4 in the game.
Manchester is at home against Oak Hill on Monday night.
Whitko at Heritage
Whitko dropped its fourth game in a row Saturday morning, falling 8-1 to Heritage on the road. The Wildcats are now 3-4-1 this spring.
Riley Harman drove in the lone Whitko run on a sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning. The Wildcats were held hitless in the game, reaching base four times via walks.
Whitko remains on the road Monday for a game against West Noble.
Softball
Warsaw at Fort Wayne Snyder

Warsaw is still looking for its first win of the season after dropping both games of a doubleheader to Fort Wayne Snyder Saturday, falling 12-8 and 12-5. The Lady Tigers are now 0-4.
Kali Ousley drove in two runs on two hits in the first game while also scoring a run. Addison Eastwood, Lillian Carman and Emma Keyes all drove in a run as well. Ousley and Kaitlyn O’Dell both had three hits in the second game, with O’Dell as well as Carman adding two RBIs.
Warsaw begins Northern Lakes Conference play Monday at Wawasee.
John Glenn at Tippecanoe Valley
Tippecanoe Valley dropped its Saturday home game against John Glenn Saturday morning, falling 9-4. The Lady Vikings are now 2-4 this season.
Dalynne Bussard hit a double, scored a run and drove one in as well. Elise Smith and Addy Dunnuck added RBI’s as well.
Valley is at home Monday night for a game against Culver Community.
Wawasee at Triton
Wawasee picked up a big win against Triton on Saturday, winning 14-4 on the road. The Lady Warriors are now 5-1 while the Lady Trojans fall to 2-4.
Ava Couture had a huge game at the plate, driving in three runs and scoring a fourth. Ashlynn Corn drove in two runs on a 4-4 day that included a double. Evelyn Duncan was the third Wawasee player with multiple RBIs, driving in three and scoring two while adding a home run. Duncan was also fantastic on the mound, striking out nine in five innings. No stats were available for Triton.
Wawasee begins NLC play at home against Warsaw Monday while Triton plays at Whitko.
Fremont at Manchester
Manchester earned a split in its Saturday doubleheader against Fremont, winning the first game 5-4 before dropping game two 6-4 at home. The Lady Squires are now 3-5 this spring. Ava Felgar went 3-3 with three runs driven in during game one. Hadley West went 2-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Molly Schannep earned the win on the mound, going 6.2 innings and striking out two. West kept it going offensively in game two, driving in three more runs on three hits.
Manchester is on the road Tuesday at Adams Central.
Boys Golf
Warsaw/Triton at Don Dicken Classic

Warsaw ended up finishing in sixth place at the Don Dicken Classic on Saturday with a team score of 320, while Triton shot 414 and finished in 18th. The tournament was won by Westfield, who took first and second place with team scores of 298 and 302.
Austin Craig led the way for the Tigers with a 77, while Breckin Christner shot a 79. Robbie Finlinson was not far behind with an 81. Triton was paced by Tucker Worsham and Connor Olesen, who each shot a 100.
Tippecanoe Valley at Marquette Invitational
Tippecanoe Valley golf began its season with a sixth place finish at the Marquette Invitational after posting a team score of 337. The tournament was won by Andrean with a team score of 322.
The Vikings were led by Eli Love, and his score of 76 eas good enough for a fourth place individual finish. Wes Parker also finished in the top ten individually with an 81. Ethan Young and Nash Bouse each shot a 90.
Girls Tennis
Warsaw/Manchester at Lady Tiger Tournament

It was a great start to the season for the Warsaw girls tennis team, as they won their home invitational with a team total of 18 points, beating out Northridge in second with 16 points and Manchester in third with 15.
Warsaw’s No. 1 Addie Lind won the singles competition with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Manchester’s Sarah Kerlin in the final. Manchester No. 2 Myla Crozier defeated Warsaw’s Abby Nicholas 7-6, 6-4 before falling to Northridge’s No. 2 in the finals. Warsaw No. 3 Emma VanPuffelen won her final with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 performance.
